What are Botox and Dysport

Botox and Dysport are FDA approved injectable medications used to improve the appearance of wrinkles in the face. Over time as we make repeated facial expressions such as lifting the forehead and eyebrows, furrowing the brow, and squinting fine lines, wrinkles begin to be etched into the skin of the brow and around the eyes. Sometimes these lines can make people appear unhappy, stressed, or angry. The appearance of these lines can be diminished with proper injection of Botox and Dysport.

How Do Botox and Dysport Work?

Botox and Dysport block the communication between nerves and muscles, thus diminishing the muscle action that causes lines and wrinkles to form in the first place. Both Botox and Dysport create a fresh, smooth, and relaxed appearance to the skin. After injection you’ll have a younger, fresher, rejuvenated appearance.

What is the Difference Between Botox and Dysport?

Both Botox and Dysport are FDA approved medications used to treat the frown lines between the eyebrows (Glabella) and lines at the sides of the eyes (Crow’s feet). The effects of botox are seen 3-7 days after injection and last about 3 months. The effects of Dysport can be seen as soon as 24-48 hours after injection and can last up to 4 months.
Dermal Fillers

Our line of dermal fillers includes Juvederm and Restylane products. Both products are used to treat wrinkles in the lower two-thirds of the face. Both are hyaluronic acid-based substances. Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally found in skin which helps skin secure moisture and creates a fullness to the skin. Youthful skin is abundant in hyaluronic acid, but as we age our skin loses its hyaluronic acid, thus the skin does not appear as full and fresh as it once did. Juvederm and Restylane can restore this youthful appearance to the skin and face.

Juvederm and Restylane are commonly used to treat the appearance of the lines that form between the corners of the nose and the corners of the mouth (nasolabial folds), and the lines that form between the corners of the mouth down to the corners of the chin (marionette lines). Juvederm and Restylane products can also be used to lift the cheeks, augment lips, and improve the appearance of deep hollows beneath the eyes.

How Do Restylane and Juvederm Work?

Restylane and Juvederm improve the appearance of deeper folds and wrinkles by adding volume to the skin. A skilled injector with an artistic eye can strategically place these products in the face to restore your youthful appearance.
