The best part about mascara is it creates a long, full look to your lashes and a beautiful curl that makes your eyes look beautiful. The worst part about mascara is getting it off. We’ve all woke up with raccoon eyes in the morning (even if we tried getting it off the night before).
You can say goodbye to that perpetual ring of leftover mascara under your eye by getting your eyelashes done. Eyelash extensions enhance your natural lashes and create a lasting fullness and thickness. Get the appearance of makeup, without having to apply any!
Custom Eyelash Extensions
If you’ve ever put on false eyelashes at home, you’re familiar with the stripe design. A bunch of lashes are glued directly on or slightly above your natural lash line. Eyelash extensions, on the other hand, cannot be applied at home and must be done at an eyelash studio by a professional.
This is because each last extension is carefully attached to a single eyelash of your own. And since everyone has different lashes, lash professionals can only go a certain length of thickness to ensure your own lashes stay healthy. But you will have length options, as well as which type of curl and material of lash you’d like. To enhance your own eyelashes for a fuller and longer look, speak with our lash experts at Seasons Salon and Day Spa.
Lashes That Last
You might be wondering how long do eyelash extensions last? When will I need a lash refill? Again, each lash extension is attached to a single eyelash. As result, they will fall out naturally with the natural growth cycle of each lash.
Once you receive your first set of eyelash extensions, we recommend a lash fill appointment every three to four weeks to touch up your look. However, with proper aftercare, you may be able to wait longer. You can always be the judge of when you feel you need to fill them again.
Lash Extension Aftercare
To maximize the lifespan of your lash extensions, it’s important to follow aftercare instructions. Within the first 24 hours, you’ll want to avoid getting your eyelashes wet and avoid hot steam from showers, hot tubs or saunas. Also avoid touch your extensions excessively. This will help maintain the adhesive bond.
After the first 24 hours there are a few things to keep in mind to maintain your lash extensions:
- Do not use any oil based (waterproof) mascara
- Do not use oil based makeup
- Use oil-free makeup remover to clean the eye area
- Be gentle with your lashes; never pick, pull or rub at your lashes
- Do not use mechanical or heated eyelash curlers on your extensions
If you’d like you eyelash extensions removed, you must let them fall out naturally or come back to visit your beautician who will remove them for you.
